FAQs
What is Excel Esports Chile?
It’s Chile’s national Excel competition — a fun, fast-paced tournament where players solve creative
challenges in Microsoft Excel. We’re the local chapter of the international Excel competition,
created by Chilean competitors passionate about bringing these exciting challenges to our
community.
How does it work?
It’s the most intense logic puzzle you’ve ever experienced — all inside Microsoft Excel. In each
round, every competitor gets the same Excel file with a series of challenges and has 30 minutes to
solve as much as possible. You work entirely on your own, no interaction with other players, and
submit your answers before the clock runs out. It’s fast, challenging, and a lot of fun to see how far
you can get before time’s up.
Is it for me?
If you enjoy logic puzzles, creative problem-solving, or just want to learn to use Excel better, you’ll
fit right in. You don’t need to be a pro — our challenges are designed so anyone with a basic
grounding in Excel can join in and push themselves. If you’re unsure, give it a try! It’s 100% free,
and we’ll have practice materials and webinars to guide you through. You might be surprised by
how much you can solve and how engaging it is!
Who can participate and what do I need?
Anyone, anywhere can sign up — but only Chilean resident players can qualify for the finals and
take the national champion title.
All you need is a computer with Microsoft Excel (newer is better, but any version works), a stable
internet connection, and the curiosity to give it a shot. That’s it — no special setup, no extra
software, nothing.
What can I win?
The champion of Excel Esports Chile will claim the title of National Champion and secure a wildcard entry to the Microsoft Excel World Championship in Las Vegas. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to put your skills to the ultimate test, compete against the world’s best, and proudly represent Chile on the global stage.
Please note: airfare and accommodations are not included with the wildcard entry. However, Excel Esports is actively seeking sponsorship to help support our national champion’s journey.
How do I register?
Just click the subscribe button and fill out a short form with a few questions. You’ll get a
confirmation email from info@excel-esports.cl (check your spam folder just in case). Once you
confirm, you’re in — and you’ll immediately get a second email with your first practice case to start
preparing.
